Tackling Period Poverty

51³Ô¹Ïapp is collaborating with De 51³Ô¹Ïapp Students’ Union (DSU) on a new period poverty campaign.

Led by Union Development Executive Joanna Dine-Hart, the aim of the campaign is to raise awareness and improve period poverty for 51³Ô¹Ïapp students, after research showed one in three women in Leicester cannot afford sanitary products.

Working alongside , a community interest company, Joanna is working to improve student welfare and understanding.

She has, so far, managed to secure free period products in 95 toilets across the 51³Ô¹Ïapp campus, and is working hard to further provide these vital products.
