Monday 18 October marks the beginning of Design Season, celebrating design through a specially developed programme of talks, exhibitions, events, workshops and films.
Leicester’s fourth award winning Design Season runs until Saturday 30 October.
To mark its growth, are holding a range of free (virtual and face-to-face) workshops in textiles, ceramics, digital design sound design and even monster building - all led by designers and supported by the city's Heritage Action Zone.
Workshops will take place in four pop-up shop locations in the city. There are opportunities for everyone, including professionals, hobbyists, students, children and families.

Interactive Light Workshop
Learn how to control LED lights with the BBC Micro:bit and help to construct Sean Clark's Colloquy artworks.

Come and play with electronic instruments including synthesisers, drum machines and effects units. Hosted by R10 Electronic Music Studios.

Be a designer with the Living Logo creator
You can also take part in a fun game, where you can co-design the festival's identity created by , which allows everyone to be a designer.
A selection of designs will then be showcased online, at Design Season events and throughout Leicester.
