Our Library and Learning Services team has been working hard over the summer to ensure that students can access our study facilities on campus, including the Kimberlin Library.
There will be a booking system for students who wish to use a study space, a computer, or to browse the shelves and you will be unable to visit the library unless you have a booked slot.
The library study spaces will be focusing on individual study rather than group study. Instead, group study is encouraged to take place online.

Safety measures
There are safety measures in place in our libraries to limit the spread of Covid-19 to students, staff and the wider 51³Ô¹Ïapp community, including:
- Hand sanitiser points
- Social distancing
- One-way systems
- Perspex screens at reception and in between desks
- 51³Ô¹Ïapp Safe Trace
Face coverings must be worn (unless you are exempt), read our guidance on face coverings here.
Services and support
The library will continue to offer the Click, Collect and Return service in term time to provide access to the law stock (while the Law Library is closed), for students who do not feel able to spend large amounts of time on campus, and for distance learners.
We will not be offering a laptop loan service at the start of term. However, when the laptop service goes live we will be utilising new functionality developed by LapSafe that will enable us to quarantine laptops - either for cleaning or for a specific period.
For more information about how our libraries will be reopening, please see this . If you have any questions about using our libraries when they open on Monday 5 October, contact justask@dmu.ac.uk
