Information about student car parking on campus

We encourage our students to travel as sustainably as possible by walking, cycling or using public transport to get to university. We do understand however, that some students may need to travel further and therefore use their own vehicle.

Parking within core hours

In order to park within core working hours, from 7.30am to 5.30pm, you must have been issued with a 51³Ô¹Ïapp parking permit. There are two types of permits available, the Local Authority Blue Badge Disabled Permit and the 51³Ô¹Ïapp Assessed Needs Permit.

Local Authority Blue Badge Disabled Permit

The Local Authority Blue Badge Disabled Permit is a free permit for Local Authority Blue Badge holders only. Permit holders can park in any parking bay on campus, but should use the designated disabled parking bays wherever possible.

Find out how to apply here.

51³Ô¹Ïapp Assessed Needs Permit

The 51³Ô¹Ïapp Assessed Needs Permit has been designed to support students who do not hold a Local Authority Blue Badge, but who, for medical reasons, require access to parking close to their place of study. Permit holders are permitted to park in any parking bay on campus, including the designated disabled parking bays.

Permit issuance is subject to approval from the Disability Services Team. Find out how to apply here.

This appointment will also give you an opportunity to discuss support and to ensure you are accessing all the disability support asvailable to you.

You can find out more about student car parking here and read our Vehicle Parking and Cycle Policy.
