Important Information on your timetable and assessment feedback

Term 2/Semester 2 timetable

As you prepare for the festive period, we wanted to let you know about the release of your timetables for Term 2 (undergraduate) and Semester 2 (postgraduate).

Undergraduate students

We will be releasing undergraduate timetables as planned on Thursday 17 December via the ‘My Timetable’ tile on your My51³Ô¹Ïapp dashboard. For more information about this tile, please take a look at our helpful guide.

Please note: Usually, before we release timetables to students, we share them with our academic staff first so that they have the opportunity to make any final changes. We regret, however, that due to circumstances beyond our control, we will not be able to issue staff timetables before 17 December.

This means that we will be releasing undergraduate timetables to both students and staff on 17 December. Your lecturers may need to make changes to your timetable after it has been released to you.

Any changes will be reflected in your ‘live’ timetable, so please check it regularly to make sure you have seen the latest version.

Postgraduate Taught students

Unfortunately, we are unable to release UG and PGT student timetables separately.  PGT students should note that between 17 December and 18 January, your timetable is being ‘built’. We would ask all PGT students to be aware of this and the fact that the timetable you see will be subject to a significant amount of change.

We are aiming to release final versions of PGT timetables by Monday 18 January.

Term 1/Semester 1 Assessment Feedback

We would also like to let you know that due to the extended Christmas break this year (from 21 to 24 December), work that would have been returned to you during this week will now be returned during the week of 4 January 2021. For work where the marking window would include the 21-24 December period, these marking days will be added once the university reopens on 4 January. This means that some subsequent return dates will be moved forward by 4 working days.

Your lecturers continue to work hard for you and want to ensure that your feedback is as effective and timely as it can be within these challenging circumstances.

If you have any questions, please contact your Faculty Student Advice Centre (noting closure dates are 19 December – 3 January inclusive).

Information on the Return Student Travel Window

Minister of State for Universities, Michelle Donelan MP has announced a return student travel window to take place between 4 January and 7 February. 51³Ô¹Ïapp will once again work with other higher education institutions in the region, Public Health England and local authorities to manage this process as effectively and safely as possible.

The university will be working hard over the next few days to finalise these plans for your course area and will inform you at the earliest opportunity via the usual communications channels. Please check your 51³Ô¹Ïapp email inbox regularly for updates. A new tile and set of FAQs will also be added to the Your 51³Ô¹Ïapp Safety site on the return process.
