The 2024 De 51³Ô¹Ïapp Students’ Union (DSU) Leadership Elections are here!
This is your chance to have your say in who represents you and the 51³Ô¹Ïapp student voice over the next academic year.
Nominations open at 9am on Monday 22 January and will close at 11.59pm on Wednesday 21 February.
If you’re interested in a role and would like to find out more about taking a year out of your studies or securing a leadership role for after you graduate, you can in the Careers Hub (located in the Hugh Aston Building) for a quick 1-2-1 session between 11am and 2pm on Thursday 25 January.
Together, you can explore which roles are available and suitable for your development.
Which roles are available?
There are three types of roles available: student officer, student group and faculty lead.
These are your Executive and Liberation Officers who lead DSU and are key in making positive changes around campus.
12 posts, including five full-time paid roles, are available.
In these voluntary roles, you’ll be responsible for leading a society or sports club alongside your fellow elected committee members.
As a faculty lead, you’ll be responsible for driving change, supporting Course Reps and leading on positive academic change.
These positions will commence at the start of the 24/25 academic year.
The SU are hosting a ‘ session on Wednesday 24 January for students who are interested in a leadership role and would like to know more.
On Thursday 8 February, the Student Voice Team are hosting an to cover the importance of manifestos, where to start, templates and next steps.
