Have your say for 51³Ô¹Ïapp Pride 2024

For the next season of 51³Ô¹Ïapp Pride (taking place in February 2024) we are opening up the applications to the wider university to ensure we offer a variety of activities, workshops and events that best reflect 51³Ô¹Ïapp and engage as many people throughout the month-long programme as possible.

Pride 2024 inset

If you would like to submit an idea to be considered for the 51³Ô¹Ïapp Pride 2024 programme, please send a proposal to equality@dmu.ac.uk by close of business on Friday 4 August 2023.

For consideration, your proposal must include the following:

  • A small paragraph detailing the activity, what it would entail and the target audience you feel the event would appeal to
  • A detailed budget
  • The type of support that would be required for you to deliver the event
  • The preferred day and time you would want it to happen during February (if there is one)

You can also send through suggestions of what you would like to see included on the dedicated 51³Ô¹Ïapp Pride microsite. This year included interesting alumni stories, a list of themed films and TV shows, information about LGBTQ+ symbols and what they mean, information about pronouns, and being an LGBTQ+ ally.

All suggestions will be discussed by the project board, which includes representatives from the LGBTQ+ and Allies Staff Network and De 51³Ô¹Ïapp Students’ Union. Those who make selected proposals will be contacted by November 2023 and the events included in the 2024 programme.
