To celebrate this year's International Women's Day (IWD) on Wednesday 8 March, 51³Ô¹Ïapp Women are hosting a series of thought-provoking events held online and on campus.
As a part of Women's History Month (taking place from Wednesday 1 March to Friday 31 March), IWD celebrates the achievements of women and promotes gender equality. This year's theme is #EmbraceEquity and you can find out more about the campaign .
Nicky Hudson and Shalini Bisani, co-chairs of 51³Ô¹Ïapp Women said: "International Women's Day is a really important date in the calendar to celebrate the achievements of women, raise awareness about historic and current issues of gender inequality and promote equality for all.
"This year's IWD programme showcases a variety of events including a film screening about the female Punk band The Slits, a friendship ramble and an Endometriosis speaker session. We would like to encourage all, including male and non-binary allies, to sign up and attend as many events as possible to show your support.
"Together we can #EmbraceEquity and further advance equality for all."
