Extra dates have been added to an online start-up school launched by De 51³Ô¹Ïapp University Leicester (51³Ô¹Ïapp)'s 51³Ô¹Ïappworks team after more than 150 people signed up to its first programme.
Students and recent graduates from all over the world have registered for the first summer school which will take place in June, with the new sessions due to take place in September.
Lockdown Launchpad LIVE will help students and graduates make their business ideas a reality. The summer school will cover a range of topics, which include:
- COVID-19 – Opportunities in crisis: How to start now from anywhere
- Launch - Starting a business without cash
- Finance – Grants, loans and crowdfunding
- Marketing – Branding and social media
- E-commerce – Websites and apps
- Legal - Setting-up and copyright
- Tax – Do I need to pay it?
- and much more!

Workshop Schedule
PLEASE NOTE: Participants will not be required to be on camera. Questions can be asked throughout the session via the chat box.
Option 1: Product based summer school
For anyone who has a business idea to sell a physical item. For example; furniture, clothing or gifts.
There will be three sessions in total, across the three days (a 30-minute session per day).

- Thursday 11 June 2020
Sessions will take place from 3 - 3.30pm daily. .
Option 2: Service based Summer School
For anyone who has a business idea to sell something you cannot physically hold. For example; website development, business consultancy or a food delivery service.
There will be three sessions in total, across the three days (a 30-minute session per day).

- Wednesday 17 June 2020
- Thursday 18 June 2020
Sessions will take place from 3 to 3.30pm daily. .

1-2-1 51³Ô¹Ïapp Start-up summer school appointments
After completing the three-day summer school, participants will have a 1-2-1 appointment with a start-up business advisor to discuss the next steps for their individual business. Participants can book a 15-minute appointment at any time on either Friday 12 June or Friday 19 June 2020.
