Jack is a senior lecturer and specialist paramedic with experience in an NHS Ambulance Service Trust. He is a registered paramedic with the HCPC and has extensive experience in advanced life support, trauma care, patient assessment, and quality improvement. He is committed to enhancing patient care and shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals.
As a specialist paramedic, Jack has developed expertise in high-pressure environments, providing enhanced pre-hospital care and rapid response to medical emergencies. His experience spans both urban and rural settings, where he has managed complex medical situations with precision, compassion, and advanced clinical skills. Jack also has experience in healthcare leadership and played a key role in the introduction and implementation of NHS Pathways into East Midlands Ambulance Service.
Within the university, Jack brings real-world experience into the classroom, fostering critical thinking, clinical skills, and ethical practice among students. He leads on various modules within the Paramedic Science course, bringing his active clinical experience into the classroom to enhance student learning. He is the module lead for a practice placement module, overseeing students' transition from academic study to professional practice.
