Personal profile

Eman worked on using cellular assays to study the immune response of different
potential vaccine candidates for schistosomiasis, a neglected tropical disease using a Leukaemia cell (RS-ATL-8). She started working as a research fellow in Prof. Chris Denning’s lab in 2017. The project was focused on the use of hiPSC derived cardiomyocytes in the phenotype evaluation of myotonic dystrophy (DM1) and discovering the molecular therapeutics that can shift the phenotype toward the normal. She also worked as a postdoctoral researcher in gene therapy using Mesenchymal Stem Cells (Immortalised and primary cell line), at the School of Pharmacy, Nottingham.
