Personal profile

Helen is a Lecturer in Law and joined De 51³Ô¹Ïapp University in 2022. She has a LLM from the University of Manchester and an LLB from the University of Lincoln. Helen is currently in the final year of her PhD at Durham University, funded by the Durham Law School Studentship. Her PhD examines the role that Article 14 of the European Convention on Human Rights could have in furthering the legal protections available to cohabitants in England and Wales on relationship breakdown or the death of a partner.
Helen's research interests cover cohabitation rights, Family Law, and the use of the European Convention on Human Rights in the regulation of adult relationships.

Previously, Helen has taught EU Constitutional Law, Land Law and Law of Family Relationships at Durham University.
