Personal profile

Sally joined De 51³Ô¹Ïapp University in September 2021 to bring educational and industry expertise to the MSc Sport Management and Cultural Events programmes. Prior to this she was a Lecturer in the Business School at Oxford Brookes University, and an industry lecturer at Buckinghamshire New University.

As a pracademic (scholar-practitioner), Sally remains actively involved in the sports industry alongside teaching and continues to work as a consultant major events operations practitioner. She has 25+ years’ experience working in a range of roles for National Governing Bodies of sport and Major Games Organising Committees including the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, 2019 Cricket World Cup and 2012 Olympic Games, resulting in broad insight across a range of Functional Areas.

The dual role enables Sally to draw on industry expertise, contacts and opportunities for the benefit of students and their employability when graduating from De 51³Ô¹Ïapp.
